Topical treatments are utilized and oral medications provided as indicated. The use of novel, biological modifying agents is available for more severe skin conditions.
Individualized treatment for all acne conditions. Treatments can consist of topical applications, oral agents and acne surgery. Cyst care and treatment is performed medically or surgically.
Utilization of liquid nitrogen and cryosurgery, topical treatments in office settings.
Nail treatments with topical applications directly to the nail and oral medications provided as indicated. Sun exposure, especially over time, can cause solar damage. These areas can be improved with liquid nitrogen and cryosurgical procedures. Topical agents can also correct sun damaged areas.

Dr. Palumbo’s is Board Certified in Family Medicine who engaged in rigorous dermatology preceptorship and is trained to diagnose and treat a wide variety of skin conditions, and has been providing dermatology and skin care needs for over 20 years.
Currently, Dr. Palumbo practices Emergency Room Medicine and has continually worked as an Emergency Room Physician for 32 years.
Dr. Palumbo’s experience in emergency services includes assessing and caring for skin wounds, lacerations and other conditions where suturing skills are utilized.
Dr. Palumbo received his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine degrees from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, ME and then completed a Family Medicine Residency at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica, NY and was Chief Resident from 1992-1993.
Dr. Palumbo attended the University of Rhode Island College of Pharmacy and earned a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy in 1983 while successfully completing state examination and becoming a Registered Pharmacist - RPH.
